The main difference between the various thickening implants are the bases, which is the part where the hair is applied. The base then has to be adhered directly to the head in order to cover the thinning areas where hair loss is most visible.
Depending on the type of base, the hair can be knotted or injected: depending on how the implant is made you will have a different final yield, resistance and transpiration.
In general, there are two types of implants: those with a poly base and those with a lace base.
Both are very good but not all Hair Systems are the same, so some may not be ideal for your particular case.
Grafted hair has more softness than knotted hair, but allows for less breathability. In fact, the hair is injected into poly, silicone, and resin bases, i.e., closed, rubberized bases.
The prostheses with knotted hair use lace bases (tulle type, monofilament) in which the hair is fixed to the base with a knot, an operation that increases the resistance and durability of the hair.
For this reason they are very breathable and practically invisible.
The Lace hair systems have the advantage of being much more breathable than those built with materials such as polyurethane or silicone, provided that they are fixed only on the perimeter. They also generally have a better aesthetic performance in the frontal area, but only and exclusively if they are constructed and used in the appropriate manner.
